What we check

A lapsed ticket isn't an email. They stop appearing.

Every ticket has an expiry on file. When one lapses, that worker drops off the shifts that need it, on the day.

In Queensland it cuts both ways: the supplier needs a licence, and the business hiring must use a licensed one.

Example board

This is how the board works.

Example shifts, running the rules the real board will run: the worker only sees what their tickets allow, and the builder posts and gets names back.

Straight answers

The questions people actually ask.

Are you licensed?

Not yet, and we do not take shifts until we do. Queensland requires a labour hire licence, and under the same Act the business hiring is required to use a licensed supplier, so this matters to you as much as to us. Our application is not lodged: it needs a WorkCover policy and a registered company first, in that order. The regulator takes 28 business days to decide a simple application. The number goes on this page the day it is issued, and until then nobody from VDA sets foot on your site. You can check any supplier, us included, on the public register.

Do I need an ABN to work through you?

No. If we put you on site, we employ you and pay you, with tax and super on us. Having an ABN does not make anyone a contractor.

How fast can you fill a shift?

The service is built around one rule: post before 6pm for a 7am start, and get names back or a straight no, never silence. We are not trading yet, so there is no fill time we can honestly quote you. Once shifts are running, the measured times go on this page, including the ones we miss.

What does it cost?

One hourly rate per worker, quoted before the shift. It is built to cover their pay, super, workers compensation and insurance, and none of that is in place until the company and the policy are. Posting costs nothing.

How are hours recorded?

Check-in and check-out on site, with the time and the location. You see the hours before you approve them.

What if someone doesn't turn up?

You tell us and we start replacing straight away. Attendance is recorded, and whoever does not turn up gets fewer offers.
